BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Careen A. Byfield Leyshon, a Jamaican national, is an attorney-at-law called to the bar in Barbados. She attended the University of the West Indies where she first obtained a bachelor’s degree in history and subsequently a Bachelor of Law degree. She then attended the Norman Manley Law School where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate.

Prior to joining Amicorp, Careen was part of a corporate and commercial law practice involved in taxation, trust, anti-trust law, civil litigation and family law. She also has expertise in real estate law.

Careen is currently studying online towards a master’s degree in international business law at the University of Liverpool in England. Along with her position as a managing director of the Barbados office, she currently sits on the board of directors for Amicorp Bank and Trust Limited, Amicorp (Barbados) Ltd., and Amicorp Corporate Services (Barbados) Ltd.
